To commemorate the 50th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy's assassination, the Rosemont College Archives will display the E. Considine McManus John F. Kennedy Memorabilia Collection for the month of November.
The collection features Ms. McManus' scrapbook of President Kennedy's life and death, magazines memorializing the death of the President, correspondence from the White House and Jacqueline Kennedy thanking Ms. McManus for her condolences, and a postcard collection of President Kennedy's life.
The display will also feature recollections from Rosemont community members of the President's assassination and death. The Archives welcomes all members of the Rosemont community and beyond to share their experiences at archives@rosemont.edu.

Tales of the Dead

Gertrude Kistler Memorial Library will cohost Tales of the Dead, an original production performed by members of Jest and Gesture featuring villainous characters from both classic and modern literature. And zombies. Lots of zombies....
Join us for a spooky evening on Friday, October 25, at 7:00PM in the Upper Reading Room of the Library. Free admission. Doors open at 6:30. The first 13 students to arrive will receive a door prize!

New and Updated Credo Reference Content Available

Over the past few months twenty-eight new and updated dictionaries, encyclopedias, and other books have been added to the Credo Reference collection, bringing the total number of titles to 631. The new content provides background information in a broad range of disciplines, including History, Medicine, Science, Social Science, Art, Philosophy, Psychology, Religion, and more. The newly added titles are:

Kistler Library to Host Cheddar & Red Quilt Exhibition
The Friends of the Rosemont College Library are proud to present a special exhibition of 19th century Pennsylvania German quilts from the collection of Joanna S. Rose. Mrs. Rose previously provided the quilts for the American Folk Art Museum's acclaimed exhibition "Infinite Variety: Three Centuries of Red and White Quilts" in New York City, and has personally selected the thirteen "Cheddar and Red" quilts to be displayed at Rosemont. These quilts have never been shown before. Hope to see you there.

Don't Miss the Library's Oktoberfest Book Sale
The Library will host it's annual Book Sale at Family Weekend's Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 5th, from 12-4pm.
