Enter the Art of Reading Photo Contest

 
The Library invites all Rosemont Students to enter our ongoing Art of Reading photo contest. Submit photos of yourself or others reading around campus. If you win you will receive a cash prize of $25 and have your photo displayed at the Library. A new winner will be selected each month for the duration of the school year.

Sumbissions for the November portion of the contest will end on Friday, November 16, 2012. A panel of impartial judges will choose the winning image on Monday, November 19. The winner of the photo contest will be notified by email on the November 20.

Submit your photos (high-resolution photos in jpg format are preferred) and questions to gkml19010@gmail.com

In the Spotlight: Spooky Stuff for Halloween

The Library has a new online feature: In The Spotlight. Each month, this guide will showcase a list of Library resources on a seasonal theme. This month it's "Spooky Stuff for Halloween!" Browse through for ideas for leisure reading and viewing, or for research topics. Make sure to follow our Twitter for announcements of when In The Spotlight and other Library resources are updated!

Credo Reference Adds New Titles to Collection

Over the summer, electronic information provider Credo Reference added twenty-four new and updated encyclopedias and other reference works to its General Reference collection, bringing the total number of titles to over 600. The new content provides background information in a broad range of disciplines, including Art, Business, Communication, Economics, Education, History, Music, Philosophy, Psychology, Religion, Science, Social Science, and more. Additional JSTOR Journal Collections Now Available

Kistler Memorial Library has added three new collections to our JSTOR subscriptions. Arts & Sciences IV, V, and VII will provide you with full online access all the way back to the first issues of over 300 unique scholarly journals in the fields of Art & Art History, Business & Management, Education, History, Language & Literature, Philosophy, and more. Notable titles added include The Academy of Management Review, American Educational Research Journal, American Journal of Psychology, American Philosophical Quarterly, Harvard Law Review, Journal of Public Health Policy, Journal of the Walters Art Museum, The Kenyon Review, and U.S. Catholic Historian.

JSTOR is a not-for-profit service dedicated to preserving and providing researchers with access to scholarly information through its archival collections of academic journals covering a broad range of disciplines in the humanities and social sciences.
